Congrats Jimimiah Mentis, HealthWorks 360 Allstar!
HealthWorks 360 (HW360) is a model that is all about enhancing patient care access in our health centers. We are honored to celebrate our newest HW360 Allstar, Jimimiah Mentis, for embodying high performance and making a difference every day at our East New York location. We sat down with her to learn more her growth and how she stays on top of communicating with patients.
Q: How long have you worked at Housing Works?
A: I’ve worked with Housing Works for 3 years. I started as a Patient Services Representative, then Referral Specialist, then Patient Care Coordinator, and now I’m the Clinic Operations Manager.
Q: Where are you based?
A: I'm based at East New York
Q: What's a fun fact about you?
A: I love to read and music is my therapy
Q: What's one thing you like about working at Housing Works?
A: One thing I like is the organization’s commitment to ending homelessness and HIV/AIDS through advocacy and other services with the help of compassionate staff.
Q: What's your approach to confirmation calls?
A: My approach to confirmation calls are time and strategy, using a script, two-way communication, documentation, and follow up protocol.
Q: What's one piece of advice about HW360 you would give to a staff person who is new?
A: One piece of advice I would give to new staff is always document interactions and update in real time! Don't wait until the end of day. Help other team members pick up where they left off if coverage is needed.

A: I love Housing Works because it's an organization that gives their employees opportunity to grow and excel.
