This PrEP Aware Week, Housing Works Community Healthcare is bringing people together to talk about HIV prevention, build connections, and make room for care without judgment. Taking place October 19 - 25, 2026, this year’s statewide campaign centers on “Peace. Power. PrEP.”, a reminder that HIV prevention is a right, rooted in health, dignity, and justice.
At Housing Works Community Healthcare, we believe getting answers and connecting with HIV prevention services should be accessible, not intimidating. Our PrEP program welcomes people regardless of insurance or ability to pay, with in-person and telehealth appointments available. Whether you’re starting with a question or ready to make an appointment, we’re here to help you take the next step.
Led by the New York State Department of Health AIDS Institute, PrEP Aware Week invites communities across the state to challenge stigma and expand the conversation about prevention. Here at Housing Works Community Healthcare, we’re bringing that message into community spaces with a week of opportunities to connect. From our stores to our Youth Prevention Services Clubhouse, join us to celebrate community and help keep the conversation going.
