About This Provider

Jennifer Werner is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, specializing in primary care, sexual health, HIV treatment and prevention, and LGBTQ+ care. She received her Doctor of Nursing Practice and Master of Science in Nursing degrees from Columbia University. During her nursing education at Columbia, she was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and received recognition for excellence in Women’s Health and Oncology subspecialties. Jennifer is also certified by the American Academy of HIV Medicine as an HIV Specialist. She is a member of The American Association for Nurse Practitioners, the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), and GLMA: Health Professionals Advancing LGBTQ+ Equality.

Jennifer also holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing from Fairleigh Dickinson University. She believes deeply in creating safe spaces for evidence-based and holistic care of individuals, especially those who have felt out of place in traditional clinics. Practices that enrich her clinical perspective and personal well-being include reading literary and experimental fiction, practicing yoga, listening to classical music, and playing ice hockey.
