Telehealth
Telehealth allows patients and providers to connect without even having to step foot into a clinic! Telehealth can also be called telemedicine, digital health, connected care, and/or virtual health. All these terms refer to remote healthcare services via technology.
Using digital communication platforms – think Zoom or FaceTime for healthcare – you can meet with your provider from home or wherever best fits your schedule. All you need is a device, internet connection, and private space to conduct your visit!
Housing Works offers telehealth for primary care, psychiatry, and behavioral health. Many visit types such as lab reviews, acute care, medication refills, and therapy appointments can be televisits. Initial appointments cannot be scheduled as televisits, but many follow-up visits can. We strive for a hybrid care model, where telehealth is not a replacement for in-person services but is used as one part of a seamless care model. Talk to your provider about scheduling a televisit today!
