About This Provider
Dr. Talia Urdanigo, MD was a student of Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education and went on to receive her medical degree from SUNY Downstate. She continued her training at Mount Sinai and the Institute for Family Health and is a board certified family medicine physician.
She was born and raised in Jamaica, New York, where she was privy to the existing social health inequities. Witnessing these stark disparities motivated her to pursue a career on the front lines in primary care. She provides care for children, adults and includes reproductive health in her practice. She is trained in addiction medicine further connecting her to her mission of working with marginalized communities. Her clinical interests include working with the intersection of addiction, homelessness and LGBTQ identities as well as furthering the education of clinicians to improve standards of care and the patient experience.
