About This Provider
Dr. Sharang Tickoo is an Internal Medicine physician with a focus on providing care to fellow New Yorkers, particularly those with challenges in accessing healthcare. After completing his undergraduate training in Cognitive Science at Occidental College in Los Angeles, Dr. Tickoo received his medical degree from St. George's School of Medicine and completed his residency program through Icahn School of Medicine's joint program with New York City Health + Hospitals in Jamaica, Queens.
Practicing medicine in Queens provided an exposure to a diverse population, including from international patients presenting from nearby JFK; and impressed the unique challenges patients in New York face including language, physical, accessibility, and social barriers to care.
Dr. Tickoo joined the team of providers at Housing Works in 2026 after residency to work alongside the population of New Yorkers and provide access to primary care in a welcoming, patient-focused, and trauma-informed setting while maintaining high quality evidence-based and guideline-directed treatment.
