Kristal Greenlea is a compassionate and skilled Psychotherapist at the East New York Health Clinic, specializing in trauma, grief, and the treatment of serious and persistent mental illness. She earned her Master’s in Social Work from Hunter College in 2021. Kristal brings a wealth of experience from her time on a Shelter Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team, where she worked closely with individuals facing serious mental health challenges, including substance use disorders. She is deeply committed to the healing process, believing in the transformative power of addressing trauma and its profound impact on an individual’s life.
Trained in EMDR, Kristal offers this evidence-based therapy to help clients process and heal from trauma. She also leads the Grief Support Group at the East New York Health Clinic, offering a supportive space for individuals navigating loss. Kristal has previously facilitated a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) group focused on identifying and challenging 12 common cognitive distortions, further enhancing her ability to guide clients toward mental well-being.
Kristal employs an integrative approach to therapy, drawing from a range of modalities, including CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, EMDR, and somatic therapy.
