Itisha Washington

Itisha is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with years of experience specializing in compassionate, evidence-based care to adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses, including Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, Anxiety, PTSD, and other complex psychiatric conditions.

Itisha earned her Master of Science in Psychiatry from Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing and holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from New York University’s Rory Meyers College of Nursing. Her clinical approach incorporates psychopharmacology with a holistic, patient-centered philosophy. She is committed to cultural competence, trauma-informed care, and building strong therapeutic alliances to support long-term recovery.

With a deep respect for the individuality of each client, Itisha fosters a safe, supportive environment where people feel empowered to take an active role in their mental health journey.
