We are excited to announce that our Downtown Brooklyn Health Center (DBHC) located at 120 Lawrence Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201 will begin pediatric care on Monday, May 6.
We will now be able to see patients from newborn to 17 years of age for a wide range of services including vaccinations, immunizations, adolescent health, school or camp forms, annual physicals, and much more! Once patients reach the age of 18, they can transition to our adult primary care services. Our after-hours hotline will also be able to answer pediatric-related questions.

Q: What is the age range for pediatric care?
A: We can see patients as young as newborns to 17 years of age. Once patients are 18 years old, they can transition to our adult care services.
Q: Which of our primary care providers will see pediatric patients at DBHC?
A: Dr. Melissa Bhikham and Dr. Elaina Ramos are both family medicine providers. They will now be able to see pediatric patients as well as adults.
Q: How can I schedule a pediatric patient visit?

Q: What kind of pediatric services will we provide?
A: We will provide annual physicals, immunizations, vaccinations, vision and hearing screening, school and camp form completion, and much more!
Q: How long are new pediatric patient visits (i.e., Well Child Visits)?
A: Visits are 30 minutes long – same length as new adult patient visits. All pediatric patients being seen for the first time must be scheduled for a well child visit which are in-person at DBHC.
Q: How long are follow-up pediatric patient visits (i.e., Peds F/U)?
A: Visits are 15 minutes long – same length as adult follow-up visits. We can even do televisits for some pediatric patient services.
Q: What should patients bring to their first visit?
A: Patients and/or their caregiver should bring in their immunization card, birth certificate, medications, and insurance card. If they wear glasses, bring them in as well.
